THIS TRIO OF ISLANDS located in the Caribbean Sea features endless sand and sun for Canadian incentive groups. Carolyn Jacoby Clark, a meeting and site selection consultant based in Barrie, Ont., was impressed by the versatility of the three islands with so much to do in such a small area. “I have never experienced the variety that they have there—in language, currency and culture—they have it all.” Clark, who experienced the island on a FAM trip in June, says the dining on both sides of St. Martin was spectacular. “On the French side you have these tiny French bistros, on the Dutch side you have these little cafes and foodie stands on the beaches called lolos.” Mary Joy Morgan, sales and incentive manager for GLP Worldwide, based in Markham, Ont., had never been to St. Martin before, and fell for the wonderful cuisine and impressive beaches. She has clients going to St. Barts next year to experience the high- end shopping, night life and restaurants. INCENTIVE TRAVEL REPORT on achieving the company’s different milestones of service. The second part of this program will be coordinating a separate suite of gifts for the company’s customers. “These are gifts that will provide instant gratifi cation,” says Wiseberg. “Quality trumps everything—these gifts will engage the fi ve senses, people will be able to use them right away, to enjoy and share.” Wiseberg will coordinate the program and, because the company is small, she won’t have to warehouse items. “There are still some supply-chain issues, but I will be able to keep adequate supplies for a company of this size. For this company, the gifts range from $500 per person for three years of service to $1,500 for seven years. The program will run for two years.” “Employees want to be recognized for their contributions and they want to be rewarded for them,” says Wiseberg. “For people working from home, I’m fi nding it’s not just the gift, but the entire customer experience, from the positioning of the reward, to sleek packaging and speedy delivery. I want these company employees to enjoy the experience they have selecting a gift that speaks to them individually.” ST. MARTIN, ANGUILLA & ST.
