EXHIBITION PLACE AT A GLANCE • Canada’s largest meetings, sports and entertainment destination • Toronto waterfront location • 5,400 parking spaces, including 1,300 underground • Direct access to TTC and GO Transit • Quick access to Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport and Toronto Pearson International Airport • More than 2,000 events hosted annually BUILT-IN GROUP EXPERIENCES ONE DESTINATION. ENDLESS POSSIBILITIES. With more than 2,000 events annually, no single format defines Exhibition Place. Large conventions and trade shows anchor the calendar at the Enercare Centre, where more than one million sq. ft. across eight connected halls can be configured in countless ways. Connected via underground walkway, the 160,000-sq.-ft. Automotive Building pairs historic Art Deco architecture with modern meeting space and a climate-controlled connection to Hotel X Toronto and its 404 guestrooms. Across the site, the Better Living Centre, Queen Elizabeth Building, Bandshell Park and StudioEx support consumer shows, hybrid events and outdoor programming. SUSTAINABILITY BUILT IN An early adopter of the Net Zero Carbon Events Pledge, Exhibition Place features LEED-certified venues and more than 20 years of GREENSmart initiatives harnessing wind, solar and geothermal energy. Together, they create a built-in ecosystem that helps planners meet sustainability goals without starting from scratch. Food and beverage are central to that strategy. Menus emphasize local sourcing, inclusive options — from kosher and halal to vegan and gluten free — and waste reduction. Surplus food is donated to organizations such as Second Harvest. “We focus on avoiding food waste. We keep data and do statistical analyses of what leaves the kitchen and what comes back,” says Marlee Viggers, Director of Catering and Sales, OVG Hospitality, the exclusive caterer for Enercare Centre, Queen Elizabeth Building and Better Living Centre. “Sticking to the numbers and following the trends of our events really helps keep waste reduction in line.” Executive Chef Israel Moreto of Cerise Fine Catering, exclusive caterer for the Automotive Building, notes that local sourcing also supports small businesses. “We can pretty much source any ingredient we want because Toronto is a very diverse community,” he says. Chef Moreto personally shops for specialty ingredients in Kensington Market and sources pastries from Toronto bakery Sweet Addictions. LOGISTICS MANAGED Exhibition Place is designed to reduce friction at every stage of the event journey. The site is easy to navigate, with road access that simplifies arrivals for attendees, exhibitors and suppliers. Because Exhibition Place controls its internal roadways, traffic flow, move-in and move-out can all be carefully managed by experienced on-site teams. EVENTS AT SCALE The scale of Exhibition Place is best understood through the events it supports. The JW International Convention welcomed more than 45,000 delegates across the Enercare Centre and Automotive Building. Exhibition Place implemented a transportation management plan that converted internal roadways into one-way inbound traffic at the start of each day and one-way outbound traffic at the close. Collision Conference brought more than 38,000 attendees across multiple buildings and outdoor spaces. Exhibition Place coordinated move-in and move-out for hundreds of exhibitors while supporting high-density, multiple device demand for WiFi 6, fibre-optic networking and telephony infrastructure. • Urban beekeeping workshops • Outdoor yoga at the Stanley Barracks • Walking tours focused on heritage, architecture, art and the Garden of the Greek Gods Oscar Sort is an AI-powered waste-sorting system that uses visual recognition technology to communicate whether items should be recycled, composted or placed in landfill waste. START PLANNING Exhibition Place offers the scale to grow, the flexibility to adapt and the operational clarity to keep even the most complex events fully connected and running smoothly.
