AD: Marriott 1/3 BLOOR–YORKVILLE If you like window shopping, you’ll love strolling along Bloor Street West, also known as Toron- to’s Fifth Avenue and the Mink Mile. Begin at Italian foodie emporium, Eataly Toronto, and head west to explore numerous luxury shops along the street, from Tiffany, Gucci and Chanel to Prada, Hermès and Holt Renfrew. Once you reach Avenue Road, you can keep going west to explore Toronto cultural institutions such as the Royal Ontario Museum, Gardiner Museum, Bata Shoe Museum and The Royal Conservatory of Music’s Koerner Hall. Or, opt to walk north of the recently renovated Park Hyatt Toronto hotel on Avenue Road to discover Yorkville, a 1960s hangout for hippies and Canadian musical legends, including Gordon Lightfoot, Neil Young and Buffy Sainte-Marie. Here you’ll find upscale shops, restaurants, art galleries and the Village of Yorkville Park, featuring a 700-ton Muskoka granite outcrop, a rain curtain/icicle fountain and gardens. EXHIBITION PLACE If your event is taking place at Enercare Centre, Beanfield Centre or Hotel X, put your walking shoes on to discover architectural styles span- ning more than two centuries on the grounds of Exhibition Place, from Scadding Cabin, Toronto’s oldest known surviving house (built in 1794), to the Beaux-Arts Liberty Grand En- tertainment Complex and Music Building. The Queen Elizabeth Building is a striking example of mid-century modernism, while the Art Deco Horse Palace is home to the Mounted Unit of the Toronto Police. Among the newest buildings at Exhibition Place are BMO Field, a host venue for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, as well as OVO Athletic Centre, the Toronto Raptors’ state-of- the-art practice facility. DOWNTOWN TORONTO The Metro Toronto Convention Centre (MTCC) is only steps away from some of Canada’s most famous land- marks and attractions. As you walk through MTCC’s subterranean South Building, take a few minutes to enjoy Turtle Pond, a stunning terrazzo floor artwork. Above ground, sunny Roundhouse Park—an expan- sive greenspace that is also the South Building’s green roof—is home to an historic, fully-operational, 120-foot long locomotive turntable. Wander over to the base of the CN Tower, Rogers Centre (home of the Toronto Blue Jays) and Ripley’s Aquarium before heading back to your event. If you’d rather spend your time people-watching and enjoying a craft beer, you can’t get any closer to MTCC than the Steam Whistle Biergarten & Tap Room. 45 MINUTES OF FREE TIME You’re in Toronto for the big meeting and you’ve got 45 minutes until your next session. That’s enough time to grab a quick snack while exploring in and around three of Toronto’s best-known conference and event districts. Bloor-Yorkville Downtown Toronto Exhibition Place
