Spark of Inspiration What: Porsche Unseen display centre Where: South by Southwest (SXSW) in Austin, TX, March 11-20, 2022 Goal: To highlight the creative process behind the development of the company’s iconic sports cars. How: The temporary tent structure housed an inside look at the mind of a Porsche designer, taking attendees through the hidden and unseen process behind unique and never-before-seen models. Stepping inside the temporary tent structure, conference attendees found themselves on a giant replica of a designer’s desk, complete with oversized pencils, papers and desk clutter. Each evening, audiences were treated to a never-before-seen performance from unseen new artists. Who: Produced by Czarnowski; audio visual by Show Imaging; production management by Byrne Production Services (thanks to Toronto-based Matthew Byrne for supplying the photos and details). Prior to the pandemic, Jarrod Goldsmith was known for two things: his all-saxophone jazz band and his in-person networking events. When COVID hit, he decided to explore how he could take his networking expertise online. That’s when he became an expert in the REMO platform and used it to create the eSAX virtual event platform—confi gured with networking in mind. One layout feature is smaller breakout tables. You only talk to guests at your table or you can join a table by double clicking on it. “We have access to over 100 different fl oor plans,” says Goldsmith, founder of eSAX Virtual Events, adding that his company was contracted to provide technical support for the virtual Clean Energy for America Inaugural Ball to celebrate the Biden-Harris administration. Some features of the eSAX platform: • You can interact with and see others in different breakout rooms • Connect with others in smaller groups (up to 12 people) at the attendees’ discretion • Engage through social media even when you’re in different breakout rooms • Multiple sponsorship opportunities (the Ignite banner in the photo is a mockup) • Invite multiple speakers “onstage” to address all participants at the same time • View closed captioning for videos and presenters • Share screens and a white board • Send messages to all participants, only those in your room, or privately • Available in English, French, German, Spanish, Portuguese and Japanese (depending on browser setting) esax.ca Virtual Networking In the Box Share Canada’s culture and drive Indigenous economic development with the Indigenous Box, full of a carefully chosen collection of products from emerging, underrepresented and established Indigenous brands, artists and makers.
