The focus is on creating experiences where attendees feel taken care of and safe so they can accomplish their objectives without being distracted by concerns generated by the pandemic. That’s why all Fairmont hotels adhere to Accor’s ALL Stay Well program, which employs some of the most stringent cleaning standards and procedures in the hospitality industry. And in addition, meeting and event clients can depend on the ALL Meet Well program, which includes a more fl exible cancellation policy for 2020, mandatory screening for all attendees, larger aisles and directional signage, 6’ between chairs, revised food & beverage service and masks and gloves for all meeting & event staff. More details are available at AllMeetWell.com. Fairmont meeting programs have always been customizable and fl exible, two key ingredients for successful meetings as planners navigate the return to in-person events. “We’re excited to have the opportunity to help our customers reimagine their meetings, from room setup and check-in to food & beverage and hybrid meeting options. We are certainly getting creative with how we serve our guests," says Robert Lemieux, regional director of sales & marketing, Canada's Central Region, Fairmont Hotels & Resorts. To simplify the process and limit touchpoints, Fairmont has worked with Social Tables to create 3D fl oorplans of its meeting spaces on the cloud-based platform. The collaborative tool simplifi es event planning, table management, diagramming and guest check-in. Since capacity restrictions and comfort levels may, for the time-being, result in fewer attendees gathering in a single space, PSAV, Fairmont’s AV supplier, has created a hybrid package for off-site attendees or for those accessing content from different areas of the hotel. While Fairmont and its staff are eagerly anticipating and preparing for the return of larger groups, the current focus is on creating productive and luxurious small group experiences—retreats, small AGMS, board meetings and incentives—with all the necessary safeguards in place. “We are committed to providing our clients the same great quality culinary experiences and are being extremely fl exible on what events will look like," says Fairmont Royal York’s executive chef jW Foster. "Even prior to the pandemic, we were offering Bento lunch boxes and separated buffet items, such as single-serving soups, lasagna lollipops and great salads in mason jars, ensuring that the health and safety of our colleagues and clients are the utmost priority.” Back to Business...
